Parking

Unrestricted street parking is difficullt to find after 8am on weekday mornings. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to locate a parking spot. Be observant of all parking signs and avoid partially obstructing pedestrian and wheelchair crossings or have any part of your vehicle overlap a red zone. Do not leave any valuables or bags on show in your car (a recommended precaution where ever you park in San Francisco). A paid public parking lot is available at the corner of 17th and Folsom Street (entrance on Shotwell Street), a five minute walk from the Studio. The location is indicated by a "P" on the map above. The fee for parking at this lot is approximately $12.00 per day maximum. If you need parking for less than two hours there are parking meters outside Starbucks on Bryant Street across the road from the Studio. Due to limited parking in the neighborhood, it is strongly recommended that visitors use taxicabs or public transportation if at all possible.

BART from the East Bay

Take the San Francisco/Colma bound train and exit at the 16th Street station, a ten minute walk from the Studio. When leaving the BART station, Walgreen's pharmacy should be to your left and Payless Shoes Store to your right. Walk east on 16th Street to Bryant Street. At Bryant Street turn right. Proceed south on Bryant Street to Mariposa Street. The entrance to Sutton Studios & Gallery (1890 Bryant Street) will be on your left.

BART from Daly City

Take any East Bay bound train (Richmond, Pittsburg/Bay Point, or Fremont) and exit at the 16th Street station, a ten minute walk from the Studio. Walk east on 16th Street to Bryant Street. At Bryant Street turn right. Proceed south on Bryant Street to Mariposa Street. The entrance to Sutton Studios & Gallery (1890 Bryant Street) will be on your left.

Several MUNI buses stop within walking distance of the Studio (for further information about the San Francisco Municipal Railway, call 415-673-MUNI or visit the 511 Trip Planner). The 27 bus, which passes through downtown, stops right outside the Studio door.
