Pigment ink and acrylic on canvas, 24 inches by 34 inches
Congratulations to Michael and Sarisa on their forthcoming marriage! The creation of this portrait of Michael and Sarisa is the case study that forms the basis of my new instructional DVD set: How to Paint from Photographs Using Corel Painter X: Creative Techniques with Jeremy Sutton. It is also one of the examples I referred to in my interview with PhotoTalkRadio.com on August 18, 2007. To help you understand my process, tools and techniques I shall share below some photos and images from different stages in the process. When you scroll down you'll also see what Sarisa had to say about the artwork.
If you wish to learn about these techniques first hand in my studio then please join one of my Painter Creativity Seminars. You will also find my new book, Painter X Creativity: Digital Artist's Handbook, a handy learning resource in addition, of course, to the How to Paint from Photographs... DVD set.
Enjoy!

"Dear Jeremy:
I just wanted to take this opportunity to again tell you how much I love the
painting! When I walk into the living room I am greeted by the vibrant
lovely artwork it just brings a smile to my face!
I showed the website image to my co workers this morning and they are in
absolute awe! In fact, looks like I need to bring some of your postcards
here to pass out!
You are truly a gifted artist and I thank you from the bottom of my heart
for creating this memorable piece of artwork for Michael and myself!
Looking forward to seeing the DVD!
--Sarisa"
