This portrait of KRON 4 TV movie critic Jan Wahl was created as part of my San Francisco Bay Area Women of Style series that was exhibited in the couture department of the San Francisco Nordstrom store (see the opening Martini Splash reception). Jan is famous for her wonderful hats as well as her movie reviews. I know Jan also through her love of swing music and Lindy Hop swing dancing. In the lower left of the painting you will see the quote from Oscar Wild: “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking up at the stars.” Jan loves the quote, which she has on a poster in her office. It gives a sense of her great sense of humor.

This painting was featured on Jan's TV program on April 3rd whe she interviewed me about my new book, Painter 11 Creativity: Digital Artist’s Handbook.
