Cityshapes: Motion, Body & Soul

An artistic collaboration with modern dancer Tiffany Barbarash and musician Lincoln Adler.

Tiffany and I are exploring the interaction and impact of shapes through the movement and forms of Tiffany's body as she dances amongst the dynamic diversity of shapes, textures, materials and forms offered by the rich tapestry of San Francisco's cityscape. The world premier of Cityshapes: Motion, Body & Soul was performed at the Grand Opening Art Soiree in San Francisco on January 28th, featuring saxophonist Lincoln Adler. The performance will be shown again in an extended version at the ArtSFest 2006 Kick-off Event at StudioZ.tv, San Francisco, March 9th.

The paintings and performance are divided into five Movements. Each Movement corresponds to a different location (and a different set of shapes and textures).
