This painting is part of a series that resulted from a creative collaboration, “Cityshapes: Motion, Body & Soul”, between myself and modern dancer Tiffany Barbarash. “Sphere” is based on photographs (a sampling of which is shown below) taken of Tiffany dancing around one of the concrete spheres located at the Embarcadero in the median in front of the Ferry Building.
