This portrait of professional Argentine Tango instructor and Trio Garufa manager, Andrea Fuchieleri, and her husband, the bass player in Trio Garufa, Sascha Jacobsen, was based on photographs I took during a sunset photo shoot on Baker Beach in San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. I asked them each to write a letter of love to each other saying in one sentence what it is they love about the other. You can see these words incorporated into the painting.
The creation of this painting forms the basis of my newest instructional DVD: “Expressive Painting from Photos Volume 1: Beach Love ~ Digital Painting”
