This painting endeavors to capture the character of a beautiful day wandering around the gently curved Grachts (waterways) of Amsterdam. Notice the omnipresent bicycles (fietsen)...

This canal boat, appropriately painted in Dutch orange, epitomizes the wonderful parallel universes of the water and street life in Amsterdam, one next to the other, both intertwined together.
